PITTSBURGH (AP) – A jury in Western Pennsylvania convicted a man of wounding his friend and killing a woman and her son during a 2012 home invasion near Pittsburgh.

Twenty-two-year-old Andre Lamar Davis of Pittsburgh was found guilty in Allegheny County Court Tuesday in the deaths of 51-year-old Angela Proctor and 22-year-old Manning Proctor March 13, 2012.

The jury also convicted Davis of attempted homicide and aggravated assault for wounding his longtime friend, Andre Frazier.

Davis will be sentenced June 4 to a mandatory prison sentence of life without the possibility of parole.

Police said they believe Frazier was the target and Davis killed the Proctors because they were witnesses.
