Police charge four in Walmart theft

1 min read

South Strabane Township police charged four people for allegedly stealing items from Walmart at Trinity Point and then returning them for gift cards.

The four, who police said apparently were working together, are accused of committing thefts several times in June.

Nicole R. Brokaw, 29, of Burgettstown, is charged with conspiracy. Charles W. Batch Jr., 30, and Victoria M. Bryner, 24, both of Cochranton, Crawford County, are charged with theft by deception and conspiracy.

Police obtained a warrant for Alexander M. Martos, 23, whose last known address was in Washington, on charges of retail theft and conspiracy.

Police said Martos stole the items, Bryner and Batch returned some of the items, and Brokaw made an unsuccessful attempt to return items for a gift card.

The charges were filed at the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
