An open St. Patrick’s Day skate and dance will be held at the Mon View Park Roller Skating Rink in Greensboro from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Admission with skate rental is $6. Proceeds will benefit Carmichaels Senior High School baseball boosters. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Participants are encouraged to wear their most festive St. Patrick’s Day outfit. Everyone who wears green will be entered into a drawing to win a family four-pack of tickets to a Washington Wild Things baseball game. Skating will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. with the dance following.
The public is invited to attend a planning meeting of the Wheeling Creek Watershed Conservancy at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Greene County Watershed Alliance office, 6 S. Morgan St., Waynesburg, to plan for the Enlow Wildflower Walk. The walk will take place April 27 on State Game Lands No. 302. The Enlow Fork Wildflower Walk is an annual event that brings together bird clubs, botanical organizations, watershed groups and other visitors from the tri-state region. During the meeting, there also will be an update of information regarding longwall mining operations in the south fork of Ten Mile Creek. Carmichaels Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491 will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the post home. This meeting will include the first nomination for new officers. Also, representatives from hospice will make a presentation at 6 p.m.
The auxiliary of Southwest Regional Medical Center will meet at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the fourth-floor conference room.
