Man injured: Tommy W. West, 44, of Amity, was injured Sunday night when his vehicle went off Amity Ridge Road, Amwell, and crashed into a tree. State police said he was driving north when he failed to negotiate a curve and crossed into the southbound lanes before going off the road. West, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Amwell and Lone Pine firefighters assisted at the scene. Police said tests will be done to determine if alcohol was a factor.

Two charged: Cody J. Maimone, 19, of Pittsburgh, and John R. Skoff, 19, of Murrysville, will be charged by California police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, underage drinking and violating the disorderly house ordinance. Police were called Friday night to their apartment on Liberty Street for a reported odor of marijuana. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

Disorderly charge: Skyler I. Dickinson, 19, of Daisytown, will be charged by California police with disorderly conduct after he allegedly caused smoke alarms to go off Monday afternoon at Brodak’s Apartments, Wood Street. California firefighters responded. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

False ID, fraud charges: Chester J. Lesjak, 35, of 325 Summit Ave., Canonsburg, was charged last week by Canonsburg police with false identification to police, fraudulent use of plates and several other traffic violations stemming from a Dec. 15 traffic stop on North Central Avenue. Police said he gave them his brother’s name. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Charged in stop: Clifford L. Smith, 31, of 329 E. Grant St., Houston, was arrested Friday by Canonsburg police on charges of false identification to law enforcement and a stop sign violation. Police stopped him after he reportedly went through a stop sign on East College Street at Greenside Avenue. He allegedly gave police another person’s name. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and released on $100 bond.

Tires flattened: Kimberly Higgins of Canonsburg told Canonsburg police Monday that all four tires on her vehicle were flattened while the car was parked in the lot at Canonsburg United Presbyterian Church on West Pike Street Friday.

Fugitive arrested: Donald Ralph Rush, 70, of Latrobe, was arrested Monday on a fugitive warrant issued by District Judge David Mark on a charge filed by state police in 2008. Rush was charged with theft by deception for allegedly taking $850 from Wiley Phillips of Canton, promising to hand over a vehicle that the Latrobe man claimed to have won in a contest. Rush was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Charged in crash: Trevor Anthony Wolfe, 23, of 172 Prigg Road, Canton, was arraigned by video Tuesday before District Judge David Mark on charges filed by state police of unauthorized use of a vehicle, driving without a license, abandonment of vehicles, failure to render aid and other traffic violations stemming from a Feb. 14 crash on Weirich Avenue. Wolfe is accused of taking a vehicle owned by Kenneth Work without permission and crashing it near Work’s home. Wolfe reportedly abandoned the vehicle after the crash. Mark set bond at $10,000. Wolfe is in Washington County jail on a probation detainer. A preliminary hearing is set for March 19 before Mark.

One injured: Kayla Houston, 25, of West Alexander, was injured March 4 when a vehicle driven by Shari Houston, 38, also of West Alexander, was hit from behind by a vehicle operated by Robert Sapp Jr., 49, of New Salem, Ohio. State police said Houston was traveling west on Interstate 70 near the Jessop Place exit in Canton and was slowing for a lane closure. Sapp’s vehicle hit her vehicle, pushing it 100 feet before it struck a concrete bridge barrier. Kayla Houston was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. Sapp will be cited by police with following too closely and failure to drive at a safe speed.

Theft arrest: Bethany Summers, 24, of Matthews Road, Belle Vernon, is charged by township police with theft over accusations she broke into a nurse’s cart while she was a patient in Mon Valley Hospital’s emergency room about 3:15 a.m. Feb. 9, court records show. Police accuse Summers of stealing drugs, syringes and other items from the cart and placing them in a drawer in her room, the affidavit states. She is free on $5,000 bond after being arrested on a bench warrant Monday and arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson.

Jewelry missing: At least $8,000 in jewelry is missing from a residence in Southpointe, township police said. A resident of Wedgewood Lane reported the missing jewelry to police at 9:04 a.m. Monday. She told police she moved to the new residence in December, and that was the last time she saw the items. Police said since the move, numerous contractors worked in the house.

Thefts reported: Chartiers police are investigating thefts from vehicles parked at the Microtel motel, Racetrack Road. Tommy Bison of Mindea, La., told police Thursday that 250 feet of welding cable was stolen from his truck. Jesse Powelson of Bridgeport, Texas, told police Monday that 80 gallons of diesel fuel was stolen from a holding tank at the rear of his pickup truck.

Tree stand stolen: Richard Trybend of 215 Locust Ave. told Chartiers police Monday that a tree stand and two five-gallon gasoline cans were stolen from his unlocked garage.

Rifles, generator stolen: Cindy Whitfield of 67 Green St. told Chartiers police Monday that six rifles and a Troy-Bilt generator were stolen from her home.

Business burglarized: The owner of Welding Equipment and Supply, Country Club Road, told Chartiers police Monday that his business was burglarized. The burglar cut through a rear wall to enter the building. Cash was stolen from the safe and cash register.

Attempted theft: Ann Celio of 127 Roth St. told Chartiers police Monday that a white man in his 20s tried to steal a snow blower from the porch of her home. When she confronted him, he told her another man told him he could borrow it. He then fled. He was thin, in his 20s and wore a blue, hooded shirt and blue jeans.

Jailed in assault: Jennifer M. Hasur, 30, of 523 Fourth St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with making terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police accuse her of threatening to stab her boyfriend, Sean Downey, with scissors, striking him in the head with her fist and throwing a glass ashtray at him about 11:45 p.m. Monday in her residence, the affidavit states. She is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
