GIBSONIA, Pa. (AP) — An empty school bus has driven onto a car in the Pittsburgh suburbs after a collision with a pickup truck, killing the man whose car wound up beneath the bus.

Allegheny County police say the 28-year-old man died at an unspecified hospital about an hour after the crash on Route 8 in Hampton Township, a few miles north of the city.

The crash occurred about 7:40 a.m. Friday and involved more than one vehicle.

Witnesses said that the bus drove up onto the car after the bus collided with a pickup truck while the bus was turning at an intersection.

The bus is owned by Monark Student Transportation Corp.

Pine-Richland School District spokeswoman says no students were on the bus, and the bus driver wasn’t hurt.
