Cecil Township seeks to take three properties
Cecil Township Municipal Authority on Monday filed three declarations of taking in Washington County Court for three separate properties within the township.
The properties – 50 Brookside Drive, 551 Muse-Bishop Road and Moore Lane – are needed to construct, operate, repair and maintain a gravity sewer line that the township will be building in the area, according to court documents. The sewer line will replace a pump station in Ridgewood Heights, township administrator Dennis Bell said. Court documents said the township is seeking permanent access to the properties and the owners could receive damages for the taking of the land.
