Tailgate stolen: John McDonald reported to state police that the tailgate was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked on the 900 block of Amity Ridge Road Sunday between 12:30 and 3 a.m.

Assault charge: Robert H. Hall, 42, of 420 W. College St., Canonsburg, was arrested Saturday by Canonsburg police after he allegedly put Jessica Rible in a headlock and punched her. Hall was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of simple assault and harassment and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Two assaulted: Stephen Lee Roberts, 31, of 2156 Rankintown Road, Finleyville, was arrested Saturday by Canonsburg police on two counts of simple assault and one count of terroristic threats, possession of a narcotic and disorderly conduct. He is accused of assaulting Tracy Smith during a dispute at her home at 625 Valley View Terrace. Roberts also allegedly assaulted her neighbor, James Glass, who went to her aid. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Forgery, theft charges: Shari Populo, 28, of 2 Maple St., Muse, was charged Friday by Canonsburg police with forgery, theft and access device fraud for allegedly stealing a pre-paid bank card owned by Lauren Olshock, 30 Archer St., and making $272 in purchases earlier this month. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

Warrant arrest: Edward Sims, 44, who Canonsburg police said is homeless, was taken into custody early Monday on a Westmoreland County bench warrant after he was found in the elevator lobby at the Canonsburg borough building. Sims was placed in Washington County jail on the warrant.

Two charged: Jared E. Clemons, 21, of 180 McAdam Ave., Washington, and Charles B. Jenkins, 36, of 36 Mark Ave., Canton, were charged Friday by state police with simple assault for allegedly assaulting each other Jan. 1 on Mark Avenue. Jenkins also is charged with harassment for reportedly shoving Kristin Sibert. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.

DUI crash: Dwayne Leslie Loughry, 52, of 314 Strope Road, Burgettstown, will be charged by McDonald police with driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident after he allegedly struck a parked vehicle owned by Sara Strohmeyer Saturday on Highland Avenue, Independence. Police said they found Loughry in his pickup truck a short time later, and that Loughry told them he drank 11 beers and 10 shots. His blood-alcohol content was nearly double the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

Burglary reported: Floyd Charles Bercosky of Hedge Avenue reported to state police that the lock on his shed was broken overnight Friday, and his pressure washer was missing.

PFA violation alleged: Nickolas Allen Kulesza, 30, of 123 Coal St., McDonald, was arrested Saturday by McDonald police for violating a protection-from-abuse order after police say they found him at the home of Jessica Peace, 123 Coal. Police were called to the home by Peace’s stepfather, who wanted officers to check on her welfare. Kulesza was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Attempted break-in: Louis Multunas of 227 O’Hara St. told McDonald police March 16 that someone tried to break into his shed.

Drug charges: Terrence Michael Carroll, 39, of Jeannette, will be charged by McDonald police with possession of suspected cocaine and drug paraphernalia, as well as careless driving, after police said he was stopped Sunday going the wrong way on East Barr Street. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of Senior District Judge Jay Dutton.

Man jailed: David Jennion, 50, of 809 Chess St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended or revoked license, court records show. Police accuse him of having an empty heroin stamp bag when they approached him about 5:30 p.m. Thursday at West Main and First streets, the affidavit indicates. He is in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Scrap stolen: Scrap metal was stolen and a forklift damaged Sunday at Butch’s Rat Hole and Anchor Services, 1428 Route 519, North Strabane police said. The fence was cut so the thief could enter the property. Once inside, the scrap was loaded onto the forklift, which was driven across neighboring property and Route 519.

Vehicle stolen: North Strabane police were told Sunday that a 2002 white Ford Ranger pickup truck owned by Pawticular Pets, 880 Route 519, was not returned by an employee who had been given permission to use it to run errands. The license is YHX-1885.

Drug charges: During a traffic stop at 12:35 a.m. Saturday, an odor of marijuana was detected in a car stopped on Washington Road at Maple Lane, township police said. The driver, who did not receive a citation, told police two occupants in his car had marijuana, and when asked, the passengers pulled suspected marijuana and smoking pipes from their pockets, police said. Juvenile allegations will be filed against two 16-year-old township boys.

Underage drinking: Police responded at 11:21 p.m. Saturday to Wendy’s restaurant on Route 19 after employees said there were four juveniles in a car with alcohol visible at the drive-through window. When officers arrived, three of the juveniles fled and could be heard running through nearby woods, police said. Jesse R. Dzugan, 20, of 1011 Clifton Road, Bethel Park, was the driver of the car and will receive citations for underage drinking, disorderly conduct and possession of alcohol, police said. Also receiving citations were Travis Liptak, 19, of 113 Kuchinic St., Venetia, cited for underage drinking, and Kyle James Robinson, 18, of 124 McClintock Drive, McMurray, cited for underage drinking and public drunkenness, police said. The fourth occupant was not identified.

Purse stolen: Kim Koteles of North Strabane Township told South Strabane police Sunday that a thief broke a window on her pickup truck and stole her purse, which contained a debit card and identification.

Fugitive found: Daniel Phillips, 49, of 132 Moon Road, Washington, was arrested early Saturday as a fugitive from justice following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Jefferson Avenue, Washington, state police said. He is wanted on a drunken driving charge from a 2001 warrant issued in Belmont County, Ohio. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail without bond, pending extradition.

Wanted man nabbed: Kelly Denarmus Smith, 23, of 42 Sundust Road, Eighty Four, was taken into custody Sunday by state police after it was learned he is wanted on a warrant in Murray County, Okla. Smith was stopped by police for an equipment violation at the corner of Jefferson and Woodland avenues, Washington. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger as a fugitive from justice and placed in Washington County jail without bond, pending extradition to Oklahoma.

PFA violation alleged: Desmond Louis Lightfoot, 20, of 240 Duncan Ave., Washington, was charged Monday by Washington police with violating a protection-from-abuse order for allegedly contacting Kylie Humphreys at her home Sunday. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Charged in crash: Nicole D. Megyesy, 22, of 352 W. Maiden St., Washington, was charged Monday by Washington police with DUI, leaving the scene of a crash and reckless driving after she allegedly struck several vehicles Jan. 6 on Maple Avenue and Bruce Street. Police said they found her at an East Wylie Avenue convenience store, and her BAC was 2 1/2 times the limit presumed for intoxication. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Vandalism: A woman reported to city police that a rock was thrown through her kitchen window in the 100 block of Plumpton Avenue about 11:30 p.m. Sunday.

Suspected arson: City police responded to a vehicle on fire in the rear lot at 515 Fayette St. about 3:30 p.m. Sunday. A neighbor told police the owner of the vehicle is deceased. Two witnesses saw a man wearing a grey hoodie running on North and Grove avenues shortly after seeing smoke. City police notified a state police fire marshal.

Theft: A woman reported to city police that $700 was stolen from her unlocked vehicle about 10 p.m. Friday. The vehicle was parked in the 700 block of Ewing Street.

Juveniles charged: City police said three boys will be charged for throwing rocks at vehicles on Allison Avenue Saturday.

Missing juvenile: Tina Nixon reported to city police that her 15-year-old daughter, Faith Lohr, did not return home from school Friday. Nixon said Lohr’s friends told her that Lohr left school early and threatened to run away to a relative’s home. Lohr is biracial, 5-foot-4 and 115 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Car accident: A vehicle struck Budd Baer Auto on Murtland Avenue about 8 p.m. Sunday after the driver reportedly had a seizure. No injuries or damage were reported. The driver was taken to a hospital.
