WAYNESBURG – State police did not release the names Monday of those injured in a three-vehicle crash Sunday in Jefferson Borough. Three people were injured in the 5:41 p.m. crash on Route 188 at Pine Street. One of the injured was taken to the hospital by helicopter.

Police said a 2013 Ram 1500 pickup, operated by Jonathan Aaron Tucker, 25, of Jenkins, Ky., was traveling south on Pine Street and failed to stop at a stop sign.

His truck struck a 2010 Honda Accord traveling west on Route 188. The Accord was then pushed into the eastbound lane where it collided with a 2002 Nissan Frontier pickup truck, police said.

The driver of the Accord suffered serious injuries, police said. The driver of the Nissan pickup and a passenger in the truck also were injured, the severity of which, police said, was unknown.
