1 min read

An inmate at SCI-Greene Community Corrections Center escaped Saturday evening after being transported to a Greene County hospital for medical treatment.

State police said Chad Adam Flick, 26, of Waynesburg, ran away from a security officer shortly before 5 p.m. as they were exiting Southwest Regional Medical Center in Franklin Township. Flick fled into a wooded area north of the hospital and ignored commands to return.

A search of the area was conducted by state police, Waynesburg police and the Greene County Sheriff’s Department. As of Sunday night, Flick had not yet been apprehended.

Flick was being housed for nonviolent offenses, police said.

Police describe Flick as white, 5 foot 9 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds. He has short brown hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a blue thermal shirt with a gray thermal shirt underneath, blue jeans and Timberline boots.

Anyone with information should call state police in Waynesburg at 724-627-6151.
