Prison escapee remains at large
WAYNESBURG – A Somerset County man with an extensive criminal history remained at large Monday after escaping Saturday while leaving Southwest Regional Medical Center following treatment for an undisclosed medical condition.
Chad Adam Flick, 26, was an inmate at SCI-Greene Community Corrections Center, a section of the maximum security prison that houses nonviolent offenders, when he ran away from a security officer and fled into a wooded area north of the hospital in Franklin Township.
In 2011, Flick was originally charged with theft and was sentenced to 2 to 23 months and seven years’ probation in Somerset County. In September 2012, his probation was revoked and he was sentenced to 3 to 6 years in a state prison.
When Flick fled from authorities, he was wearing a blue thermal shirt with a gray thermal shirt underneath, blue jeans and Timberline boots.
