Man injured in Amwell Township motorcycle crash

1 min read

A man was transported to a Pittsburgh hospital after wrecking his motorcycle in Amwell Township Wednesday evening.

Police at the scene of 359 Waynesburg Rd. said the man, whose name was not released, had moderate head injuries but was still conscious when he was taken to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital about 7:30 p.m. Police did not believe his injures were life-threatening.

Scott Larson, who was driving south on Waynesburg Road, witnessed the accident. He said the motorcycle driver was heading north when he veered into the southbound lane. The motorcycle driver did not collide with any object, but his bike slid out from underneath him.

It was not clear if speeding was a factor. Neighbors at the scene said there have been several accidents on that section of Waynesburg Road over the years.
