Greene County Maintenance Manager Jerome Simkovic announced the following tentative work plan for next week. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting basis. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.

The schedule is as follows:

• Culvert pipe reconstruction is being conducted on Route 1021 Crucible Road in Cumberland Township;

• Major slide repair will continue on Route 1011 Havershill Road in Jefferson Township;

• Shoulder cutting and grading activities are planned for Route 3013, Oak Forest Road in Center Township and Route 3001, Ned Ridge Road/Windy Gap Road, in Springhill Township;

• Patching will continue on Route 21 from the Junction Deli to Waynesburg and on Route 18/21 West Roy Furman Highway;

• Patch paving of concrete pipe replacement area will begin on Route 221 at the intersection of Kennel and Woodies Road in Morgan Township;

• Crack sealing continues on I-79 southbound between Waynesburg and Kirby;

• Bridge cleaning is planned on various routes throughout the county;

• Patchko Truck will be patching pot holes on various routes in the county;

• State roads will be reviewed and signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county;

• The State Correctional Institution of Greene will conduct roadside litter pick up operations on I-79 from the West Virginia line to the Washington County Line. Please drive carefully when encountering this moving operation.
