Two men dead after car hits tree near Pittsburgh

MCCANDLESS, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say two men are dead in suburban Pittsburgh after their car crashed into a tree.

The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office said the men were killed in the crash in McCandless just before midnight Friday.

The men were identified as Michael Brunner and John Richards, both 28 years old and from nearby Allison Park.

Police say the men were the only people in the car that went off the road hit a tree. Police were still investigating the cause of the crash.
