Salary board addresses several employee matters
WAYNESBURG – Greene County Salary Board addressed several routine matters during its meeting Thursday.
In matters pertaining to the sheriff’s office, the board promoted Hanna Toski to regular full-time deputy at a rate of $13.92 an hour and hired Dave Hromada as a casual deputy at a rate of $12 an hour. The board also accepted the resignation of Zackary Martsolf as a sheriff’s deputy.
The board approved the hiring of Krystyn Atleson and Kelly Higgins as regular part-time corrections officers at the county jail at a rate of $14.02 an hour, and approved the hiring of Pam Blaker as a member of the tax assessment board of appeals at $14 an hour.
For the office of register and recorder, the board hired Jessica Harrison as a first deputy at $27,296 a year, and approved the rehire of Donna Neino as a temporary fiscal assistant for Children and Youth Service at $23.83 an hour.
It is a temporary assignment through Sept. 15, not to exceed 14 hours a week.
In other matters, the board:
• Acknowledged the retirement of John Riley as manager of the county fairgrounds;
• Accepted the resignation of Emily Logan with the county’s transportation department and approved a temporary increase in hours for Sarah Humphreys as a casual van driver.
