Three arrested after Donora house damaged in fire and vandalism
Three people were arrested early Wednesday by Donora police after one of them allegedly set fire in the bathroom of a Market Street home and all three reportedly damaged the residence.
Perri Youngblood Jr., 22, of 999 Thompson Ave., Donora, is charged with arson, risking a catastrophe and criminal mischief. Laura Fronzaglio, 18, of 109 Castner Ave., Donora, and Alexis Fleming, 18, of 22 McKean Ave., Donora, are each charged with criminal mischief.
Donora police were called about 1:30 a.m. to the home of Scott Filipiak, at 349 Market for a report of someone trying to set fire in the residence.
Filipiak told police that he smelled smoke coming from the bathroom. When he opened the door, he found heavy smoke. A roll of toilet paper and a towel had been set on fire. He tried to put it out but ended up throwing the items in the bathtub to extinguish the fire.
Youngblood reportedly asked Filipiak for a lighter for his cigarette. Filipiak said, after he gave Youngblood the lighter, he discovered the fire.
Filipiak and Youngblood reportedly got into an argument. Filipiak told police he ran to his bedroom and locked himself in. Youngblood and Fronzaglio reportedly tried to kick open the door. Filipiak jumped out of his bedroom window.
While this was going on, Fleming, Youngblood and Fronzaglio reportedly became irate. They allegedly kicked holes in the walls and door, broke a mirror and knocked over household items.
All three were arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson. Youngblood was placed in Washington County jail on $20,000 bond. Fronzaglio and Fleming were each placed in jail on a $10,000 percentage bond. Youngblood is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Central Court June 4. Fleming and Fronzaglio are set for July 3 hearings before District Judge Mark Wilson.
