District judges recertified
Two Washington County district judges have again been certified for service after completing continuing legal education coursework.
District judges Gary Havelka and Jay Weller recently completed the week-long course is designed to ensure the judges remain current in a variety of legal topics and management techniques needed to fairly adjudicate cases and run their office.
Havelka hears cases from Burgettstown and Midway boroughs and Smith, Jefferson, Hanover and Cross Creek townships. Weller handles cases from East Washington Borough and North and South Strabane townships.
