20,000 baby chickens die in Pennsylvania barn fire
LEBANON (AP) – Firefighters said about 20,000 baby chickens died in a central Pennsylvania barn fire.
WHP-TV reported the fire broke out around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday and quickly spread through the North Cornwall Township barn, causing it to collapse.
Officials estimated damage at $500,000. They said the chicks were about five weeks old.
No injuries to firefighters were reported.
