Route 50 closure planned
A section of Route 50 (Avella Road) will be closed at the railroad crossing on Route 50 in Cross Creek Township, near the intersection of County Park Road, from Monday through Nov. 22.
The closure will be in place to allow Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway crews to replace tracks and roadway surface, the state Department of Transportation said. A posted detour will be in place, using Route 231 to Route 844 to Jefferson Avenue to Route 18 (Henderson Avenue).
