No tax hike in Canton
The Canton Township supervisors approved a tentative 2015 budget that holds the line on taxes at 5.5 mills, including 1 mill earmarked for the fire department.
The $1.366 million spending plan includes the purchase of a four-door dump truck for the township road crew. The township expects to receive $238,000 in revenue from real estate taxes, which each mill generating about $45,000.
