Wallet stolen: Donna Surich of Chartiers Township told Canonsburg police Thursday her wallet containing a checkbook was stolen from her purse while she was at Shop ‘n Save, 617 W. Pike St.

Man jailed: Mark S. Ford, 30, of 431 Spring St., Richeyville, is charged by township police with deceptive business practices over accusations he accepted $5,500 from Linton Salzman about 8 p.m. Sept. 25 for roofing work he failed to complete at 125 Billen Ave., court records state. He is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set Thursday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Gasoline stolen: Six five-gallon gasoline cans and gasoline from two dump trucks were stolen from Avant Gardening, 59 West End Drive, McDonald, about 3 a.m. Thursday, township police said.

Warrant arrest: Sheila Geisler of 466 Mohican Ave., Pittsburgh, was picked up on a warrant from Beaver County on Wednesday, township police said. Geisler’s vehicle was stopped on Southpointe Boulevard, and police determined she was wanted on a warrant and was driving on a license suspended for a previous charge of driving under the influence.

Assault arrest: Robert Campbell, 36, of 406 Washington Ave., Charleroi, was arrested by Charleroi Regional police for allegedly assaulting Lisa Comer during a confrontation at their home. Campbell is accused of choking and hitting her, slamming her head off a wall and stomping on her stomach. She was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Two charged in burglary: Kenneth E. Hayman, 34, of 101 S. Central Ave., Canonsburg, and David Lee Campbell, 25, of 347 E. Pike St., Houston, were arrested Thursday by Houston police on charges of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal trespass. They are accused of stealing a shearing machine from a detached garage at 9 Patsch St. Sept. 28. The machine was later found at Campbell’s house, police said. The two were arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bonds.

PFA violation alleged: Danta Stewart Vignone, 45, of McKees Rocks, was arrested Thursday by McDonald police for allegedly violating a protection-from-abuse order obtained last year by Jaimie Vignone, 327 Center Ave., from Judge Gary Gilman. He is accused of going to her home in the early morning hours Thursday. Danta Vignone was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.

Woman jailed: Linsey Williams, 27, of Finleyville, is charged by city police with conspiracy, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct, court records state. Police accuse her of conspiring with another suspect to steal a purse from a vehicle parked Oct. 29, 2013, at 107 Main St., New Eagle. She is in Washington County jail on $15,000 bond after being arrested as a fugitive Thursday and arraigned by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Fleeing, escape charges: Gregory Avery Jr., 26, of 555 Ewing St., Washington, was arrested by South Strabane police on charges of fleeing or attempting to elude police, escape, driving under suspension and having a windshield obstruction following a traffic stop Thursday on Murtland Avenue. When stopped, he and a passenger fled from the vehicle. Avery was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

False reports charge: Clarence Shrader of 2175 S Bridge Road, Washington, was charged Thursday by Washington police with falsely reporting an event that did not happen. He reportedly told police Wednesday his estranged wife was going to kidnap two students from Washington Park Elementary School. Police said they talked with her and learned she had no such plans. She also indicated Shrader was trying to get her in trouble. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Money stolen: Marlo Barry of Washington told Washington police Thursday $80 was stolen from her purse by a co-worker at Subway, Jefferson Avenue. The theft reportedly was caught on surveillance video. Police will review surveillance tapes. Charges are pending.

Two charged: Dena Chandler, 44, and Darryl Beckner, 53, both of 116 Hall Ave., Washington, will be charged by Washington police after officers were called to their home three times in less than 45 minutes Thursday night. Chandler will be charged with disorderly conduct, while Beckner will be charged with harassment.

Cash stolen: A worker at the Blind Association, 566 E. Maiden St., told city police $584 of about $1,576 recently raised at a fundraiser was stolen from the office over several days.
