Copper stolen from two houses in Cecil Township

Two vacant houses for sale in Cecil Township were entered and copper fixtures and pipes were stolen, township police said.

An employee of Pennsylvania American Water Co. was at a house at 1181 Reissing Road to disconnect the water service at 1:24 p.m. Friday when the employee noticed the house was flooded and the copper pipes were missing.

The house is owned by Susan Schutzman, police said.

At 5:03 p.m. Friday, a real estate agent showing a house to a prospective buyer at 520 Muse-Bishop Road notified police that copper pipes and fixtures were removed, police said. The house is owned by Leonard Rettinger.
