GPS stolen: Angela Miklavic, 1300 Lucia Drive, told Canonsburg police Monday her global positioning system was stolen from her vehicle.

Two injured: Chapree Cox-Smith, 26, of Donora, and her passenger, Clay Smith, 44, of Harrisburg, were injured Monday when their vehicle was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by Joseph Brandsma, 24, of Venetia, as both vehicles traveled east on Interstate 70. The injured were taken to Washington Hospital for treatment. State police will cite Brandsma for following too closely.

Items stolen: Debra Anderson, 1660 Jefferson Ave., Canton, told state police Monday a global positioning system, men’s sunglasses and a jar of change were stolen from her vehicle.

Teen charged: Tristan Michael Arrigo, 18, of 362 Hunting Creek Road, North Strabane Township, was charged Thursday by Cecil police with reckless endangerment, loitering and prowling at night and careless driving. Colin Stringe told police Sept. 24 he returned to his home at 36 Lynncrest Circle and spotted a man running along the side of his house. The man, later identified as Arrigo, got into a vehicle and fled. Stringe chased the vehicle and when he returned home, it was again in front of his house. When he tried to confront the driver, Arrigo reportedly fled at a high rate of speed, almost hitting Stringe. The vehicle was stopped a short time later by police. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of Senior District Judge Jay Dutton.

Guns stolen: Tim O’Neil of Monongahela told Chartiers police Thursday guns, including a revolver and two rifles, were stolen from a house on North Main Street. He told police he was in the process of moving from the residence.

Man jailed: Howard Quigley, 54, of 1212 Reservoir Ave., Monessen, was charged by borough police with hindering apprehension and giving police a false identification during a traffic stop about 1:15 a.m. Sept. 8 on the Donora-Monessen Bridge, court records state. He is in Washington County jail on $5,000 set Tuesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Theft case: Frank Bailey Jr., 33, of 787 E. Railroad St., Monongahela, was charged by city police with theft and receiving stolen property, court records state. Police accuse him of stealing gold jewelry valued at $240 from a family member and then selling it to a pawn shop for $40 in a theft reported about 2:30 p.m. Sept. 30, the affidavit indicates. He is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Man jailed: Mark A. Demchak, 48, of 147 Wisebecker Lane, Carroll Township, was charged by city police with theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy, court records show. He is accused of stealing two charm bracelets from Natalie Artis at 40 Ellwood St., Monongahela, between Feb. 1 and 14, and selling them to a pawn shop for $110, court records state. He is in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set Tuesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.

Hit-and-run driver: Kenneth A. Ennis, 52, of Bethel Park, was injured early Monday when his vehicle was struck by a vehicle driving north on Route 19 near Mansfield Road at a high rate of speed. Ennis told North Strabane police he thought his vehicle rolled over but police determined it had not. It struck a utility pole. Ennis drove back to The Meadows Casino, where he just left work. Police said it appears the vehicle that hit Ennis was a truck based on evidence found at the scene.

Retail theft: Two men were charged Monday after allegedly taking items from Miller Ace Hardware, 4275 Washington Road, township police said. Benjamin Farkas, 19, of 123 Elm Grove Drive, McMurray, was charged with receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, retail theft and a drug violation. Steven Sopko, 27, of 204 Center Church Road, McMurray, was charged with receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Police were called for suspicious people in a car. Police found tools under the driver’s seat valued at more than $76 that came from the hardware store. Also found were empty heroin bags, syringes and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Legion cited: The operators of Roscoe American Legion Home Association, Furlong Avenue, Roscoe, were cited Friday by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly having gambling devices or allowing gambling Sept. 11.

Police pursuit: An unidentified man led police on a vehicle chase about 10:15 p.m. Monday from Hallam and Sumner avenues to Linn and Hallam avenues, where he fled on foot without being apprehended, city police said. The vehicle is owned by Kelli Budney of Washington, police said.

Vehicles stolen: A 2008 Chevrolet and 2014 Ford F-350 were stolen between Oct. 3 and 6 from a fenced-in lot at 1105 Fayette St. used by GW Peoples Contracting of Carnegie, city police said. The vehicles were returned damaged in a crime reported about 9:20 a.m. Monday.
