LABELLE, Pa. (AP) — State police are investigating the death of a sexually violent predator after he was found unresponsive in his cell at a state prison in southwestern Pennsylvania.

Thirty-five-year-old Raymond Seybert, of Butler County, was pronounced dead Tuesday morning at Uniontown Hospital.

He was found late Monday during a routine security check at the State Correctional Institution-Fayette, about 30 miles south of Pittsburgh.

Seybert was serving up to 32 years in prison on an involuntary deviate sexual intercourse conviction and had been an inmate at the prison since June 2004.

A coroner has yet to rule on the cause of Seybert’s death.
