Charleroi woman jailed
A Charleroi woman was apprehended Thursday in connection with four separate cases involving thefts and heroin possession.
Ashley N. Myers, 25, whose last known address was on Meadow Avenue, was placed that day in Washington County jail on $100,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
In one case, Charleroi Regional police accused of her of depositing blank envelopes into a banking machine at Corning Federal Credit Union, 100 Eighth St., to boost her account balance, then withdrawing $1,055 June 15 and 16, court records state.
Police claim she was in possession of six stamp bags when they arrested her on warrants about noon Thursday at 705 Seventh St.
In another case, she was accused of attempting to flee out a back door at 404 Lookout Ave. when police were summoned there for an unrelated complaint about 6:45 p.m. Sept. 21.
Myers also faces allegations she stole $163 from Greta Jo Steiner in unauthorized withdrawals from a banking machine about 10:30 a.m. July 21.
She was charged with four counts of theft, three counts of receiving stolen property, two counts each of unauthorized use of a credit card and possession of drug paraphernalia and one count each of drug possession and flight to avoid prosecution.
