Police beat Oct. 11
Crash: A man was injured in a single-vehicle crash at 5:20 a.m. Monday on Route 21, state police said. Jovi Goddard, 23, of Wheeling, W.Va., fell asleep at the wheel. His vehicle ran off the road, struck an embankment and overturned, coming to rest on its roof in a creek. Goddard was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected. Police said he sustained a head injury that did not appear to be severe. He was taken to the hospital to be evaluated.
Car burned: A 2006 Mazda 6 stolen Oct. 4 was recovered Tuesday on Water Tank Road, state police said. The car, which was destroyed by fire, is owned by Chelsey Stockdale of Carmichaels. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-627-6151.
Tools stolen: Numerous tools were stolen from a truck parked on Route 218 at Yeager Road between Oct. 3 and Monday, state police said. The truck is owned by Cleveland Brothers Cat of Murrysville. The tools included a snap on bore scope, digital volt meter, amp meter, a drill and drill-bit set, a tap and die set and battery servicing kit.
