Charleroi woman in jail on $500K bond
A Charleroi woman was placed in the Washington County jail on $500,000 bond Thursday after she was driven by a man to the state police barracks in Washington while she was passed out in his vehicle.
Crystal M. Ross, 30, of 95 Camway Lane, was wanted on an active arrest warrant from Jefferson County , Ohio, for a probation violation involving failure to appear in drug court. She was arraigned on the warrant before District Judge James Ellis, who set bond and ordered her to jail.
When Donald R. King Jr. arrived at the state police barracks in Washington at 5:20 p.m. Thursday, he told police there was a woman who was wanted on an active warrant from Ohio passed out in his vehicle.
Police found Ross in the passenger seat, according to an affidavit filed in the office of District Judge James Ellis.
She was taken to the Washington County jail.
Police determined Ross was wanted for a probation violation. She was placed in an Ohio court drug program Dec. 16, 2013, and the warrant was issued June 6 after she failed three times to report as required, and for missing every urine screen, according to the warrant.
