Teen charged: A 15-year-old Canonsburg girl will be charged by borough police with criminal mischief for allegedly kicking a door, breaking the frame, at 605 S. Central Ave., Thursday.
Pipes cut: Canonsburg police said copper pipes were cut in the basement of a home at 109 Boyle Ave. Police discovered the house had been entered after getting a report of a man who had been seen putting an item in the trunk of a red Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix.
Attempted break-in: Ron Wasik, 179 Vance Drive, Cross Creek, told state police Tuesday a burglar tried to force open a man door at his garage but was unable to gain entry.
Trailer burglarized: Joseph Gunther Jr., 407 Fifth St., told McDonald police Tuesday his trailer was burglarized Oct. 8. Stolen from the trailer were a satellite receiver box, AM/FM radio, pair of mirrors and videocassette recorder.
Disorderly charge: Stanley Iglar, 53, of 327 Queen St., McDonald, will be charged with disorderly conduct by McDonald police for reportedly having a suspected marijuana pipe. Police had been called to his home for a domestic dispute with his brother.
Man jailed: Mark Carper, 25, of 450 Wisconsin St., Monongahela, is charged by city police with theft and receiving stolen property, accused of stealing a duffel bag and wallet from a Sheetz trucker while he was unloading merchandise about midnight Oct. 8 at a store at 111 E. Main St., court records show. Carper is in Washington County jail on $5,000 after being arrested on a warrant and arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson.
Driver injured: Heather Barnett, 38, of Donora, was injured Monday afternoon when her vehicle crashed into a guardrail after she swerved to avoid a deer on Interstate 79 in North Strabane, state police said. She was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment.
Theft charge: Dylan W. Johnson, 28, of 208 N. Haft St., Houston, was charged Tuesday with theft by North Strabane police for allegedly stealing copper pipe valued at $4,220 from Joy Manufacturiing, 36 Industry Drive. Police said he reportedly sold the pipe for scrap for $444.60. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Nanny arrested: Alicia Marie Thomas, 34, of 614 Fourth St., Monongahela, was charged with theft Thursday for stealing about $37,430 in various items from a house at 217 McCombs Road, Venetia, between May 1, and Oct. 10, according to an affidavit filed in the office of District Judge James Ellis. She was placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond. Thomas worked as a nanny in her cousin’s house while taking the items, township police said. She admitted to the theft and told police she pawned the items in Monongahela.
Drug charges: Debbie P. Allen, 46, of 21 Elm St., Ellsworth, was charged Thursday by the Washington County Drug Task Force with possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin. She is accused of selling the drug April 29 to an informant in a parking lot at Trinity Point. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Theft charge: Deneen Hathaway, 34, of 42 E. Wheeling St., Washington, was charged Thursday with theft by South Strabane police after she allegedly stole $1,000 while working at Arby’s, Trinity Point, earlier this year. Police said she repaid $328 of the money but failed to pay the remainder. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Drug possession: Mark A. Phillips, 22, of Washington, was charged Tuesday by South Strabane police with possession of steriods and paraphernalia and public drunkenness stemming from an Aug. 16 incident at Donnan and Michigan avenues. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
DUI charge: Kory Jo Thornburg, 24, of 3001 Stonecreek Lane, South Strabane, was charged Tuesday by South Strabane police with driving under the influence of alcohol after she allegedly struck a neighbor’s vehicle in front of 3205 Stonecreek May 4. Her blood-alcohol content was more than three times the 0.08 percent limit presumed for intoxication, police said. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Charged in theft: Antoynette A. Zeon, 26, of Breaux Bridge, La., was charged Tuesday by South Strabane police with theft by deception after she returned a mattress pad she removed from a shelf at Wal-Mart, Trinity Point, for a gift card valued at $99.66. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
