A free community dinner will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday in the social hall of Rogersville United Methodist Church. The date of the dinner was changed from the last Friday because of Halloween. The meal will include meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, green beans, applesauce, rolls, dessert and beverages. Carryout is available, donations are accepted and everyone is welcome. For additional information, call 724-499-5159 or 724-499-5385.

The Waynesburg Community (Senior) Center quilters have openings for quilt tops to be quilted. If you have a quilt top and would like them to do it for you, call Patty Tharp at the center at 724-627-6366. The quilters raise money for the center by doing quilts and all the quilting is done by hand the old-fashioned way.

The First Presbyterian Church of Waynesburg will host a Good Neighbor dinner from 5 to 6 p.m. Oct. 31 in the social room of the church. The dinner is provided by the collaborative efforts of the deacons of the church for economically disadvantaged individuals and families living in the Waynesburg community. There are no restrictions on who may attend. Good neighbor dinners are held on the last Friday of each month. According to Pastor Bill Sukolsky, good relationships have been established with community members through the monthly Good Neighbor dinners, which typically feed around 50 people. For more details, call the church office at 724-627-6006.
