Blake McCandless, who served as an East Washington councilman for nine years, resigned from his seat at the conclusion of Monday’s voting meeting.

McCandless became the fourth councilman to resign this year after Bill Adams, Lisa Crosier and Robert Dunn left their seats on council in July.

The council now has 30 days to name a replacement for McCandless, whose term was set to expire in January 2016.
