Burglary: Tools and construction equipment were stolen in a burglary Sunday at MEC Construction, 3067 Mt. Morris Road, state police said. The front door was forced open and items including sockets, wrenches, tampers and gasoline were stolen. Property also was stolen from outside the building, police said.

Identity theft: A 34-year-old man told Southwest Regional police Oct. 17 someone used his identity a year ago and opened an account with Dish Network, accumulating more than $2,000 in unpaid services. Anyone with information is asked to call Southwest Regional police at 724-929-8484.
