Volunteers needed for Fright Night

WAYNESBURG – Flashlight Fright Night, a haunted house event at Greene County Historical Society Museum, 918 Rolling Meadows Road, Waynesburg, will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Oct. 31. Admission is $10.

Historical society members are looking for volunteers willing to scare people on all three floors of the museum, all of the out buildings and cabins, and all of the grounds to make it a fun-filled spooky night.

Volunteers also are needed for hair and makeup, to be tour guides, to help with parking and the ticket gate, help in the kitchen and more.

Meanwhile, special features of the Fright Night will include:

• Lantern-lit tours of the haunted museum (all 3 floors). Exhibits come to life, spirits come out to play in the house’s many dark rooms and in the dungeon.

• Explore the museum grounds and several out buildings, nearly 100 years of haunting history.

• The Haunted Walk, is a secluded pathway behind the museum that is full of frightful fun.

• Fortune telling, palm reading and Tarot card reading

• Fire juggling

• Special guests from the paranormal investigation group (Western Pennsylvania Paranormal Hunters) will be on-hand to reveal their finding during investigations at the Greene County museum via EVP recordings and video footage.

They will also discuss paranormal investigation technique sand explain how equipment works.

• Plenty of food, drinks and special treats available.
