Harmony Presbyterian Church of Wind Ridge is hosting a fall party from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday. The event will include a scavenger hunt, games and pancake dinner. The public is invited to attend and participate in this fall activity. All ages are welcome and encouraged to participate. The scavenger hunt will occur throughout the village of Wind Ridge. Teams in groups of three will be sent out at 5:30 p.m. and adults will be paired with the young children involved. Please dress appropriately for the occasion and be prepared to walk. The first team back that successfully completed the list wins. There will also be fun activities for those very young or older who do not participate in the scavenger hunt. The Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club will meet at 6 p.m. Nov. 6 in the fellowship hall of Carmichaels Methodist Church. The Vietnam Veterans Inc. of Fayette County will present a “Table of Remembrance” program for the club members and guests. All members are reminded to attend and to bring a guest. New members are welcome.
Greene County Veterans Affairs will hold a veterans’ outreach at 10 a.m. Nov. 6 in West Greene Senior Center. Veterans can make an appointment or stop by to learn about services, including pension, compensation, disability, health care, life insurance, funeral and burial claims and retroactive benefits, said Dalene Watson, office director.
