W.D. Belding

WAYNESBURG – Waynesburg Central High School seniors Maddison Rhodes and W.D. Belding have been selected by the high school faculty as Waynesburg Lions Club’s students of the month for January.

Rhodes, daughter of Jodi Berry and Scott Rhodes, Mt. Morris, maintains a 4.0 grade-point average.

She is secretary of National Honor Society, president of the art club, editor of the yearbook and member of the Academic League, Alpha Beta and the drama club. She also participates in the gifted program and in school musicals.

She has won two scholastic art and writing silver key awards and is the recipient of various academic achievement awards.

Rhodes plans to attend the University of Akron and major in chemical engineering.

Belding, son of Mike and Lisa Belding, Waynesburg, maintains a 3.65 grade-point average.

He is a member of National Honor Society, art club and Future Farmers of America and is the treasurer of the senior class. He also participates in the school’s spring musicals and is a three-year varsity letterman in football.

He attends First Church of the Nazarene and helps raise goats on the family farm.

Belding plans to attend Penn State Behrend in Erie.
