Pittsburgh official’s trash flap plea: not guilty
PITTSBURGH (AP) – The president of Pittsburgh’s city council has pleaded not guilty to littering and harassment citations.
The Post-Gazette reports Wednesday Pet salon owner Christine Marburger accused Kraus of picking trash up from the street and sidewalks and dumping it on the steps of her building.
She also says he “caused a scene” in her business, A Diamond in the Ruff.
Kraus has said he piled the trash up with the idea that he’d come back and get it later. He says he’s being unfairly targeted.
Non-traffic citations usually carry fines of up to $300.
