2 min read

A traffic stop off Park Avenue by Monongahela police late Tuesday afternoon ended with the arrest of three people and three bricks of suspected heroin and five bags of suspected marijuana being confiscated.

Arrested were Cassandra Marie Mock, 20, Henry Harrison Mock, III, 40, and Martel Damon Mitchell, 19, all of 510 Cuff St., Monongahela.

A vehicle driven by Henry Mock was stopped for a traffic violation. Mitchell and Cassandra Mock were passengers in the vehicle.

While waiting for Henry Mock to provide his license and other information, the officer said he could smell what appeared to be unburned marijuana. He also saw what appeared to be marijuana seeds and marijuana shake in the cup holder.

Henry Mock told police they could search the vehicle. The center console was broken in the vehicle. Police opened the bottom and found three bricks of heroin containing 150 stamp bags wrapped in magazine paper along with another 40 stamp bags wrapped in the same magazine paper. Also found were five sandwich bags of suspected marijuana.

Police said all three blamed each other. Cassandra Mock told police they went earlier in the day to visit Mitchell’s grandmother in Wilkinsburg. She denied knowing about the drugs but told police she does smoke marijuana. Mitchell told police they got the marijuana at his cousin’s house in Wilkinsburg.

Henry Mock told police they went to the home of Mitchell’s cousin. Cassandra Mock and Mitchell went into another room with an unidentified man. When the three went back to the vehicle, Mitchell pulled a blue bag from his waistband and gave to Cassandra Mock to put in the console. He also told police Mitchell sells heroin.

All three are charged with possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin and marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and conspiracy. Cassandra Mock and Mitchell are also charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana. They were arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 10 before District Judge Mark Wilson.
