Urgent care center purchased by MedExpress
WAYNESBURG – Southwest Regional Medical Center’s former InstaCare Urgent Care was purchased by MedExpress, and the revamped facility plans to reopen Nov. 12 at the same location in Green Plaza.
In addition, MedExpress and SRMC announced a new collaborative care initiative, which will enable them to seamlessly coordinate care to enhance quality, increase patient convenience and lower costs while continuing to respect patient choice.
This collaborative relationship was designed to serve the best interest of patients and community and reflects MedExpress and SRMC’s shared commitment to community-based, patient-centered care. Neither MedExpress nor SRMC has any ownership stake in the other; they remain completely separate entities.

The new MedExpress location will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. MedExpress offers urgent care services, including X-rays, IVs, labs, minor surgery, stitches and treatment for broken bones, sprains and strains; wellness services such as flu shots; and a host of occupational health services to benefit local employers and their employees.
