Off-duty officer, woman charged in domestic dispute
GRINDSTONE (AP) – An off-duty municipal police officer has been charged with simple assault and harassment along with a woman after an apparent domestic dispute.
Online court records don’t list attorneys for 42-year-old Redstone Township Officer Norman Howard III and 25-year-old Amanda Orris.
State police were called to a home in the township about 4:15 a.m. Monday and say they found Howard with scratches on his neck, and Orris with a broken front tooth and a bite mark on her shoulder.
Howard’s status with the township police department was not immediately clear Tuesday. The Associated Press could not locate a listed telephone number for the couple’s home.
