The next monthly support group meeting for friends and relatives of those who suffer from substance abuse will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the basement of Jefferson Baptist Church, 179 Pine Street, Jefferson. This is a gathering where friends and relatives struggling with how to deal with their loved ones’ addictions can share experiences. Cornerstone Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the log courthouse on East Greene Street, Waynesburg.

Judge Farley Toothman will give a talk on Chautauqua. The public is invited.

The Greene County Republican Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post, 445 E. Lincoln St., Waynesburg.

Members are to note the new location.

Morgan Township Society of Farm Women will meet at noon Wednesday in the home of Audrey Jacobs, who will serve a covered-dish luncheon. Betty Hurd will have devotions.

Roll call will be answered to, and the topic is, “Are you loooking forward to a beautiful autumn season?”

Harveys-Aleppo Grange will host a flu shot clinic Monday. Flu shots will be administered by pharmacist Erica D. Whyte of Waynesburg Rite-Aid from 4 to 6 p.m.

The Rite-Aid staff will bill insurance companies. The cost for those without insurance coverage is $31.99. It is asked those who pay do so with a check.
