Sporting clays class for women
DILLINER – The Greene County Department of Recreation recently wrapped up its fourth introductory sporting clays class for women. “Women’s Intro to Sporting Clays” was held Aug. 25, 26 and 28 at Hunting Hills in Dilliner.
Fourteen women signed up for the classes, which were free for women ages 15 and older. Classes covered the fundamentals of clay target shooting and were taught by Chuck Mallory and Randy Coss, certified National Sporting Clays Association Level 1 instructors. Students shot targets and learned about different types of guns, stance techniques, trap positions and clay speeds and sizes.
The classes were sponsored by Greene County commissioners, Hunting Hills, Friends of the National Rifle Association and Waynesburg Sportsman Association.
