MT. MORRIS – A Perry Township man is in fair condition after being involved in a tractor rollover accident Wednesday evening.

Gary Bucci, 58, of 229 Shriver Hill Road, Mt. Morris, was driving downhill when his Kubota tractor flipped over and began to roll, according to Southwest Regional police Chief John Hartman.

Hartman said the tractor came to rest pinning Bucci between the mower deck and a hay bale.

The Mt. Morris Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at approximately 6:30 p.m.

According to firefighters, Bucci was trapped for roughly 45 minutes beneath the 1,000 pound tractor before being extracted by first responders. He was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia by Mt. Morris Unit 1 with a paramedic assist from EMS Southwest Inc.
