Three admitted to ARD
WAYNESBURG – Three criminal defendants were admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for first time offenders Monday by Greene County Judge Farley Toothman. Those who successfully complete the program can petition the court to have their criminal records expunged.
Those accepted into the program must serve at least one-year probation and pay all fines and costs.
Defendants who enter the program charged with driving under the influence of alcohol also may have their driving privileges suspended and be required to refrain from the use or possession of alcohol.
Entered into the program were:
Gregory A. Haas, 57, of 440 Main St., Clarksville, charged with simple assault and harassment. Haas was arrested after becoming involved in a physical altercation with his wife, Pamela Haas, on Sept. 7, 2013, at their residence. Haas must serve two years of ARD.
Donley Charles Henderson, 50, of 470 Temple Ridge Road, Waynesburg, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI), and DUI incapable of safe driving, plus one summary traffic violation. Henderson was arrested March 1 in Franklin Township by state police. Henderson’s blood -alcohol content was 0.169 percent. He will receive a 60-day driver’s license suspension.
Brett Statler, 43, of 277 Fourth Ave., Crucible, charged with DUI, and DUI incapable of safe driving, plus two summary traffic violations. Statler was involved in an accident on Feb. 16, 2013, when he failed to negotiate a turn along Bald Hill Road in Dunkard Township and drove head-on into a tree. Statler’s blood-alcohol content was 0.121 percent. He will receive a 60-day driver’s license suspension.
