1 min read

WIND RIDGE – An Aleppo Township man was charged with allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend when she brought their 8-year old daughter to his residence Sept. 7.

Lonnie Daniel Miller, 41, of 141 McCracken Road, Wind Ridge, is charged with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief.

According to a criminal complaint, Rebecca Longwell, Miller’s former girlfrind, told police Miller began to argue with her when she took the child to his home and it turned physical. Longwell said Miller shoved her and she got into her vehicle to get away from him. However, according to Longwell, Miller then punched her in the forehead, pulled her from the SUV, pushed her to the ground and held her there with his arm across her throat, choking her.

Longwell told police she managed to get away and into her Jeep when Miller punched the driver’s side mirror, breaking it.

She sought treatment at Southwest Regional Medical Center for a contusion, allegedly caused by Miller.

Miller faces a preliminary arraignment before Greene County Magisterial District Judge Glenn Bates Sept. 18 at 2:30 p.m.
