Vittone to speak at town hall meeting

Washington County District Attorney Gene Vittone will speak about prescription and illegal drug abuse at the eighth annual town hall meeting sponsored by the Monongahela Area Revitalization Corporation at 7 p.m. Monday at Monongahela Fire Hall, 443 W. Main St., Monongahela.

MARC is a nonprofit organization made of volunteers living, working or interested in the sustained development of the greater Monongahela area.

As district attorney, Vittone is working with local law enforcement to increase and enhance the drug taskf orce operations.

Carroll Township Police Chief Paul Brand and Monongahela Police Chief Brian Tempest have also been invited to participate.

The public is invited to attend and to participate in a question and answer period following the presentation. Light refreshments will be served.
