WAYNESBURG – A Waynesburg man faces charges for an alleged domestic assault on his fiancée.

Jeremy David Coll, 34, of 314 S. Washington St., was arrested Sept. 9 and is being held in Greene County jail on a $25,000 straight cash bond.

Coll is charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, false imprisonment and harassment by physical contact for an incident reported by his fiancée, Becky Sondericker, according to a criminal complaint filed before Greene County Magisterial District Judge Lee Watson.

Waynesburg Borough police Officer Marcus Simms said he responded to Pecjak’s Sunoco station at 10 E. Greene St. Sept. 7 for a report of a domestic violence victim inside. When Simms arrived, he met with Sondericker, who told him she didn’t feel safe inside the Sunoco and wished to speak to him elsewhere. Simms said he took Sondericker to the police station where she gave her statement.

Sondericker told Simms she was forbidden to leave her apartment for the previous six hours by Coll. Simms said Sondericker told him Coll hit her in the head and face with a foam pillow, causing her to bite her tongue hard enough to draw blood. He had slammed her head into the wall twice, hit her in the eye with the heel of his hand, hit her with both hands in the chest and yanked her around by her arm.

Simms said he saw bruising on Sondericker’s right arm, at the corner of her eye and a knot on top of her head.

Sondericker said Coll broke her cellphone to prevent her from calling police and repeatedly threatened to injure her. She said Coll took her keys so she could not leave.

Coll was interviewed by Simms at the police station Sept. 9. According to the complaint, Coll told Simms he argued with Sondericker and she attempted to leave the residence. Coll allegedly told Simms he stood in front of the door and, when Sondericker tried to forcefully get past him, he pushed her back against the wall. Simms said Coll admitted taking Sondericker’s phone from her and breaking it.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 17 at 10 a.m.
