United Way planning trip to New York City
WAYNESBURG – Greene County United Way is planning a bus trip to New York City Dec. 12-14, but Barbara Wise, United Way director, is reminding area residents reservations and a $100 deposit are due by Sept. 30.
The bus will leave from Central Cab Co. in Waynesburg at 11 p.m. Dec. 12, arriving in New York City early Dec. 13.
Saturday night accommodations will be at the Belvedere Hotel in the heart of the city’s theater district and two blocks from New York City’s Restaurant Row and Times Square.
The hotel is within walking distance of Rockefeller Center, Fifth Avenue shopping, Radio City Music Hall, The Museum of Modern Art, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall.
Hotel prices are $330 for quad occupancy; $375 for triple occupancy; and $445 for double occupancy.
Those planning to make the trip should mail the $100 deposit to Greene County United Way, 748 East High St., Waynesburg, 15370.
