Police beat Sept. 13
Assault charge: Benjamin Craig, 48, of Meadow Lands, will be charged by state police with simple assault and harassment for allegedly hitting Valdemaer Reyes Jr., of Claysville, causing a laceration to the right eye during a confrontation Wednesday at 701 Weirich Ave., Canton. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
Threats made: Erik C. McFann, 29, of 17 Madison St., Cokeburg, was arrested early Friday by state police after an alleged confrontation with his girlfriend, Jessica R. Simko, at their home. He reportedly became angry after seeing a text message from another man on her cellphone. He reportedly broke her cellphone and threatened to burn the other man’s home with her in it. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of terroristic threats, harassment and criminal mischief. He was placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.
Women assaulted: Jason Mark Hollman, 44, of 218 1/2 E. Grant St., Houston, was arrested early Friday by state police after he allegedly pushed Misti Blu Waters and Pamela Lyn Smith and punched them during a confrontation at the home he shares with Waters. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on two counts each of simple assault and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Theft charge: William R. Robl, 33, of 18 Daley Drive, Washington, was charged Tuesday by North Franklin police with retail theft after he allegedly stole three items from Rite Aid, 1396 W. Chestnut St.
Theft from garage: Two air compressors and a generator were stolen from a garage in the 600 block of Bower Hill Road, township police said. There are no signs of forced entry. The theft was reported at 4:41 p.m. Thursday.
Disorderly charge: Theodore Frye Jr., 37, of 605 Lagonda Road, South Franklin Township, was charged early Friday with disorderly conduct after Washington police found him sleeping on the driveway entrance to Aaron’s, 760 Jefferson Ave. Police said he also would not listen to their directives. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Window damaged: Vandals damaged a basement window at the home of Daniel Smith, 130 Hart Ave., Wednesday, Washington police said.
