Person found dead in parking garage
Washington police are investigating the death of a person found unresponsive in the Courthouse Square Plaza parking garage Sunday evening.
The 33-year-old victim, whose identity was not immediately known, was found dead in the parking garage at 100 W. Beau St. shortly after 6 p.m. by a 911 emergency dispatcher, Washington County Coroner Tim Warco said.
Warco said investigators believe the person died of a heroin overdose, though he was awaiting an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
Washington police Chief Chris Luppino said he expected to have more details on the death today.
