Southern Beltway construction to cause road closure in Robinson

1 min read

Motorists who travel Old Steubenville Pike in Robinson Township can expect to experience road closures over the next two months as crews erect steel beams to build the Southern Beltway through that area.

Nighttime, weekday work will begin Sept. 29 and continue until Nov. 26, and prompt the closure of Old Steubenville Pike from Ridge to Robinson Church roads, Pennsylvania Turnpike officials said. Weekend night closures will occur from Oct. 23 to Nov. 23.

The closures are needed so construction crews can set steel beams on two bridges that will carry the Southern Beltway across its connection point to Route 22.

Affected motorists should use Route 22 as a detour in both directions.
