Police beat Sept. 17
Tires slashed, windshield damaged: Kimberly Peroni of 183 Smith St. told Canonsburg police Monday a tire on one of her vehicles was slashed and a tire slashed and windshield broken on another vehicle Saturday night.
Garage door damaged: Pamela Jones of 232 E. College St. told Canonsburg police Monday vandals damaged her garage door.
Truck tire damaged: Robert Durbin of 12 S. Jefferson Ave. told borough police the right front tire of his truck was cut by vandals.
Shop cited: The operator of DTR Six Pack Inc., 1160 Country Club Road, Carroll, was cited earlier this month for selling alcoholic beverages to a 19-year-old July 21.
Assault arrest: Edward James Paul III of 19 Penny Lane, Independence, was arrested Tuesday by state police on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment after he allegedly assaulted his wife, Melissa Paul, at their home Wednesday night. Police said she suffered several injuries, including lacerations on her face, loose teeth and bruising around her neck from being choked. She also suffered possible internal injuries, police said. Edward Paul was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
Tires damaged: Dennis Leech of Finleyville told state police early Sunday three tires on his pickup truck were damaged by vandals while the truck was parked at Denny’s Roadhouse, Route 136, Nottingham. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.
