Shoulder closures planned on Interstate 79

1 min read

Shoulder closures will occur on Interstate 79 as needed in each direction between the Bridgeville and Crafton interchanges from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday as crews install delineators, the state Department of Transportation said.

The work is part of a $2.84 million improvement project that includes milling and resurfacing, bridge deck sealing and other construction in each direction on 4.8 miles of I-79 between the Bridgeville interchange and the Campbells Run Road overpass in Robinson Township. To help keep motorists informed as work on the I-79 project continues PennDOT is creating an email distribution list for I-79 traffic advisories and construction updates.
